Sicilian-born Giovanna Lanza has established herself as one of the most acclaimed and profound specialists within the Italian repertoire. 

Giovanna has been once defined as the "ideal Suzuki", but this is only of of the roles she regularly masters in Italian theatres and abroad. The artist is also a requested Principessa di Bouillon, Azucena, Ulrica, Amneris or Eboli, just to name a few. She performed at the most prestigious opera houses in Italy: Teatro San Carlo Napoli, Teatro Regio Torino, Teatro Massimo Palermo or Teatro Petruzzelli Bari, as well as the Bunkamura Hall Tokyo, Teatro Maestranza Sevilla, Gulbenkian Lisbon or Opera de Toulon.

Biography

A mezzo-soprano with burnished timbre, which is known to the general public for its intense performance and vocal ductility, a feature that also underlines the roles that she interprets in both traditional and modern repertoire. After her vocal diploma, Giovanna Lanza first devotes herself to the repertoire of the 18th century. She already collaborated with the Accademia della Scala and the Ravenna Festival.
